Muse Screen Print

This is a 16x16 inch screen print of one of my photographs. The edition is limited to 50 pieces and each one is hand numbered and signed by me. Here's the story behind the image:

This image pays direct homage to a purposely over exposed photograph that Richard Avedon took of Audrey Hepburn who was his muse in the 50's and 60's. Avedon had this to say about Audrey:

"I am, and forever will be, devastated by the gift of Audrey Hepburn before my camera. I cannot lift her to greater heights. She is already there. I can only record. I cannot interpret her. There is no going further than who she is. She has achieved in herself her ultimate portrait."

When I read it, I immediately thought of my own working relationship with Courtney Newby. So I called her up and we went to work.
